Spend a fun afternoon with Business Link as you enjoy games, food and beverages before you taking in an engaging panel of diverse local entrepreneurs offering their learnings and advice on business success. This event will be an excellent opportunity to connect with other aspiring and established business owners and the organizations that support them.

Panelist:
Paige Maenhout: Owner of Little Lungs First Aid & Big Hearts First Aid – Paige & her business partner Rachel Casswell (childhood friends) found themselves on a hunt for meaningful and flexible work as new mothers in 2016. Entrepreneurship, limited options for mothers looking for a balance of a flexible schedule and impactful work, a demand for more accessible First Aid training, and their background in Safety training lead them to incorporate Little Lungs First Aid in 2017.
Rob Clarke: A local entrepreneur involved with Foosh on Whyte Ave, The Common and FU’s Repair Shop in Downtown Edmonton. As well as working in Retail and Restaurants Rob has 9910, a performance venue for bands, and DJs and hosts a broad range of events. Over the years he has strived to work with artists, producers and businesses in our backyard. Each of the businesses collaborates and works to share stories from within our community.
Sawsen Abdellawi: Sawsen is a Biologist who immigrated from Tunisia, she started ABD Naturals in 2016 after her baby had eczema and was prescribed cortisone which she refused to administer to him until at least she tries a natural product first but she couldn’t find any on the market. She decided to make him an all-natural body butter and a soap so she could control what was going into the products. Seeing the results, she decided to launch those products on the market and now ABD Naturals carries a large variety of all-natural skincare, bath, and home products.
Shane Breau – Local Edmontonian Shane Breau could never find a place that would treat his shoes with the care & attention that they deserved. So he left his job in the field of civil engineering to start Shoe Shine Shack – a boutique shoe-cleaning and repair service. Now he’s the King of Footwear, offering shoe care products and services and giving back to the community by regularly donating shoes to those in need.
