Resilient Recovery Program

The Resilient Recovery Program will help Alberta entrepreneurs get their businesses back on their feet, and help position them to mitigate the effects of any future business interruptions. Business owners will receive 4 hours of one-on-one coaching from experts in disaster recovery. They will also develop tools and strategies that they can apply to their operations immediately and to any emergencies that arise in the future.

Who Is This Program For?

This program is for existing businesses that have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in Alberta.

Eligibility criteria:

  • You are an Alberta-based business

  • You have a registered sole proprietorship, partnership, or a corporate business that was established before September 2019
  • You are an open-minded entrepreneur actively seeking improvements to your operations and planning
  • Willingness to commit 4 hours over a 4-week period, plus additional time to work on assigned tasks

Why Should Entrepreneurs Participate?

Entrepreneurs and business owners will obtain a total of 4 hours of one-on-one coaching with InnoVisions & Associates and Hackman Carty & Associates, disaster recovery experts. As part of these sessions, participants will develop business recovery implementation tools and emergency response plan documents.

Is there a cost to partake in the sessions?

There is no financial cost. However, we do expect the participants to commit a significant amount of their time to complete the project.

Who is this program for?

Business owners who have run a small business in Alberta for at least the past year. Their businesses have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and they are currently seeking solutions and figuring out how to position their businesses for optimal recovery.

Does this program offer any financial support to individuals who are looking for financing options?

No, the program is designed to help entrepreneurs find ways and strategies to come out of the pandemic and be prepared for any upcoming similar situations in the future.

How many hours would I need to commit to be a part of this program?

There will be a total of 4 hours of coaching time, and several hours of time will likely be needed to complete assigned tasks. All participants must commit to attending these sessions and completing the work assigned to be part of the program.

How am I sure the program is a safe place for me to share my business information, financial statements, and confidential information?

We will be working with professional consultants. A disclosure will be signed by our consultants to ensure we create a safe environment for our clients. These consultants will not share any confidential information with others, with the exception of their teammates and the other consultants that they will be working with.

Where will the sessions be held?

The sessions will be held virtually, unless otherwise communicated.

Each client will be provided 4 hours of coaching and will complete:

  • Business Recovery Implementation document
  • Emergency Response document

or similar documents based on your business’ unique position.
