Michael’s entrepreneurial journey has spanned decades and includes different businesses, professions and creative pursuits. Today, alongside Unique Soapstone Experiences, he runs Echoes in Stone, Empowerment GSI and Michael Emery Consulting. Rather than seeing these as separate paths, Michael views them as connected experiences that have helped him better understand how he works, what matters to him and how he recognizes possibility.

At the heart of Michael’s approach is a philosophy he calls Leave Your CAN’T at the Door™. For Michael, “can’t” isn’t limited to self-doubt. It can also show up in the expectations we place on ourselves — believing we have to follow a certain path, should do things a particular way, or must have everything figured out before moving forward.

In this conversation, Michael will share how learning to let go of those expectations has influenced the way he approaches business, relationships, creativity and opportunity. He’ll also explore the idea of getting “out of your head and into your hands” — paying attention to what is in front of you, recognizing connections as they emerge and being willing to adjust direction along the way.

Through Michael’s story, we’ll explore an entrepreneurial journey built not around having the perfect roadmap, but around curiosity, adaptability and the willingness to begin without knowing exactly where the road will lead.
