Jackie Ferner

Jackie Ferner is an accomplished community and economic development leader, with over 15 years of experience across the private, nonprofit, and government sectors. Currently, as Manager of Business Support Programs for the City of Edmonton, she is at the forefront of initiatives that champion small businesses and cultivate a thriving local economy. Jackie is deeply invested in economic reconciliation and inclusive economic development practices, to foster an environment where shared prosperity is accessible to all.Â
Jackie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Alberta and an MBA in Community Economic Development from Cape Breton University. She is committed to lifelong learning and is pursuing an Executive Certificate in Public Leadership at the Harvard Kennedy School of Executive Education. Outside of work, Jackie enjoys spending time with her family, little dog Milo, and gardening. Â
