About Business Link
Business Link is a non-profit organization that helps Alberta’s small businesses start and succeed. We provide free one-on-one coaching and advice for entrepreneurs and small business owners, in-person and virtually. We help small business owners learn how to navigate the startup process, access market research, attend events and webinars, find online resources, and build a network. We provide support for Indigenous and immigrant entrepreneurs.
A trusted resource for Alberta entrepreneurs for more than 25 years.
In 2022-2023, we:
- Supported nearly 9,600 aspiring and established small business owners
- Served 5,372 clients through advisory services and inquiries, with 504 clients being Indigenous entrepreneur and 1,158 newcomer entrepreneurs
- Reached 197 communities
- Hosted 51 webinars and 3 in-person events, with over 2,100 combined attendees
- Served 2,239 businesses through the Digital Economy Program
- Approved 1,998 applications for the Canada Digital Adoption Program
