Brent Ward

Brent is an experienced executive leader that includes 24 years at a large multi-national publicly traded power company.  During that time, Brent developed a strong governance mindset and displayed a strong skillset in a variety of progressively senior finance roles that included extensive capital raising, debt, capital structure and credit rating advisory, investor relations, strategic planning and forecasting, M&A, strategy and economic analysis and valuations. 

Brent has been a Corporate Treasurer for 15 years, spent 4 years as Chief Financial Officer of a publicly traded sponsored vehicle, and 4 years as a member of a Senior Executive Leadership team.  He has also provided governance oversight as the Chair of the Corporate Investment Committee and the Pension Committee.  

Brent has a strong passion for financial literacy, investing, and promoting both physical and mental wellbeing. He is also an advocate for equity, diversity and inclusion and is a current Board member of Calgary Outlink. 

Brent holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Lakehead University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
