Heather Stromquist

Board Member

Heather Stromquist is a strategic, community-focused economic development professional with over 15 years of experience supporting entrepreneurship, regional collaboration, and rural capacity building across Alberta. She will begin her new role as Community Economic Development Advisor for the City of Cold Lake on July 2, 2025. Her background includes leadership roles in municipal government, education, and Indigenous business development, having served as Economic Development & Tourism Manager for Lac La Biche County, Director of Community Partnerships with Northern Lights Public Schools, and an elected official with Lac La Biche County. Earlier in her career, she worked with Business Link as a Program Specialist in Aboriginal Business Development.

Heather has contributed to numerous provincial and local boards and committees in the province. Her experience spans business development, infrastructure, healthcare, education, municipal governance, and social development. She holds a diploma in Public Relations and has completed advanced training in economic development, municipal leadership, and strategic engagement. She is also a founding partner of RavensEye Consulting Inc., specializing in strategic facilitation and engagement.

Outside of her professional life, Heather is a proud wife, mother, and grandmother who brings energy, heart, and a strong sense of community to everything she does.
