Michael Bosdet

Michael Bosdet is an executive professional with over 15 years of leadership experience in technology-driven organizations across Alberta. With a PhD in Chemistry and an MBA, Michael brings a unique blend of scientific expertise and business acumen to the innovation ecosystem in Western Canada. He has held executive roles in both emerging ventures and established firms, contributing to the development and commercialization of new technologies. Michael has extensive experience in leadership and fundraising and currently serves as a strategic advisor to multiple private technology companies in Alberta. He is recognized for his strength in building and mentoring high-performing teams, and for enabling founders to refine strategy, secure funding, and build capacity during growth phases.Â
Passionate about the integration and communication of science and technology, Michael actively supports entrepreneurs and innovation-focused community initiatives. He has served as a judge for dozens of industry competitions, is a past instructor at Mount Royal University and Athabasca University, and has authored technical publications for the energy and technology sectors. Michael is also a frequent invited speaker at academic and industry events throughout Alberta.Â
A committed community volunteer, Michael currently serves as a Senator at the University of Calgary and is a Board Liaison for the Calgary Youth Science Fair. He continues to play a bridging role between academic research, industry, and entrepreneurship in Alberta’s innovation landscape.Â
