About the presenter: 

Osman Hafeez is a finance professional who takes pride is supporting innovative and socially driven organizations throughout Canada. Osman is currently a finance business partner at Athabasca University, where he contributes to the strategic direction of the organization by providing financial planning, analysis and decision support services to senior management.

Previously he was a business analyst at MyHealth Centre, a multi-specialty healthcare business in Ontario. In this role, Osman aided management team execute mergers and acquisition transactions, develop business plans and implement operational processes across 40 clinics.

His earlier work experience includes financial accounting services at City of Calgary and an audit practice with PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Osman is active with various community organizations. He is currently a financial literacy volunteer in CPA Canada’s Financial Literacy Community Connect Network. He also actively volunteers with organizations focused on health and wellness programs for local communities, such as Calgary Food Bank and Alberta Cancer Foundation. Osman has a deep passion for continuous learning and occasionally facilitates business courses as an adjunct instructor to undergraduate and mature students.

Osman completed his MBA from Schulich School of Business. He also holds the Chartered Professional Accountant designation, Financial Modelling and Valuation certification and a Bachelors of Commerce degree from Saint Mary’s University.
